Hamirpur, Apr 12 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal today inaugurated a medical kiosk-cum-tele medical centre of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi at Dimmin village in the district.
The Chief Minister thanked the management of Sir Ganga Ram hospital for providing better medical facilities to the rural masses of Hamirpur district at their cost and expressed hope that others would also follow their example.
Mr Dhumal said that the Kiosk would be an unique experience in the rural health infrastructure building since the physicians would be tele-conferencing with specialists at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital for diagnosis and opinion. He said that it was first of its kind venture in the state which would be replicated in other areas of the state as well in near future.
He said that efforts were being made to create such infrastructural facilities in the villages so that villagers did not have to travel to urban areas for availing of various basic facilities.
