Mumbai, Apr 12 (UNI) The composite index of metals, energy and agro-commodities moved up by 2,758.97 points at the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) today.
All contracts in gold and silver gained in varying degrees. Gold June 2008 contract gained by 0.42 pc at Rs 11,984 per 10 grams.
Silver December 08 contract was up by 1.48 pc at Rs 23,901 per kg and Silver November 08 contract by 1.16 pc at Rs 23,989 per kg.
Metal contracts showed recovery. While tin contracts remained unchanged, lead May 08 contract was up by 0.93 pc at Rs 119.75 per kg. Zinc June 08 contract gained by 0.90 pc at Rs 94.95 per kg.
Three contracts in crude oil and one in natural gas remained unchanged. Crude oil April 08 was up by 0.73 pc at Rs 4,403 per barrel.
Refsoyoil June 08 contract gained by 1.78 pc at Rs 577.65 per 10 kgs, Chana July 08 contract gained 3.05 pc at Rs 2803 per quintal.
Chana July 08 contract topped the list of gainers with a rise of 3.05 pc at Rs 2,803 per quintal, the MCX release said.
