Child killed as vehicle runs over pedestrians

Mumbai, Apr 12 (UNI) An 8-year-old child was killed and four others injured when the driver of a Sumo lost control over the vehicle and ran over pedestrians at Deen Bandhu Nagar in Wadala here today.

The accident occurred this evening, police said. The driver of the Sumo fled after the accident and is absconding, police added.

The injured have been rushed to a local hospital.
