Any attack on US will be from Pak militants: Bush

Washington, Apr 12: US President George Bush has said that if his country was attacked once again like 9/11, it would be the work of "militants hiding inside Pakistan". Bush said this in an interview with an American TV channel.

Recent press reports published both in the Pakistani and foreign media have revealed that militant training camps were being run in tribal areas along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, especially for those who have "foreign appearance". Reports also suggested that "foreigner looking" persons were given terrorist training because they would not face much difficulty in crossing into countries in the West to carry out terror attacks.

Bush also reportedly said that he had no intention of attacking Iran. "I have always said all options need to be on the table, but my first effort is to solve this issue diplomatically," The News quoted Bush as saying from his Texas ranch. Bush said he was not planning an attack, and added: "I'm chuckling, because, you know, from my perch, my perspective, these rumors happen all the time ... I wouldn't say they're amusing. It's part of the job, I guess."

Accusing Iran of "seeking nuclear weapons and arming and funding groups fighting US forces in Iraq," the US President said that he would act to protect Americans or Iraqis from Iranian actions in neighboring Iraq.

"The message to the Iranians is: we will bring you to justice if you continue to try to infiltrate, send your agents or send surrogates to bring harm to our troops and/or the Iraqi citizens," he said. Elaborating on the word "justice", Bush replied: "It means capture or kill, is what that means."
