Asia's largest tulip garden in Kashmir

Kashmir, Apr 11, 2008 : The splendid aura of thousands of tulips in one of Asia's largest tulip garden located in Srinagar is attracting hundreds of tourists.

After months of waiting, the tulips are in full bloom, lending an ethereal atmosphere to the picturesque valley dubbed by many as a 'paradise on earth'. The garden, inaugurated by Sonia Gandhi, Chief of Congress party is named Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden.

Oslo, Mar 14: Global warming could cause severe food and water shortages for millions of people by 2100 and trigger a melt of polar ice that could keep ocean levels rising for centuries, a draft UN report shows.It said the poor were most at risk, for instance in sub-Saharan Africa and around deltas of major rivers in Asia.The survey by the world's top climate scientists, due for release in Brussels on April 6, said climate change widely blamed on human activities.....
