Upset over Karnataka, JD(U) to review coalition with BJP

New Delhi, Apr 11 (UNI) The Janata Dal (United) today criticised the BJP for trashing the coalition dharma and threatened to review its alliance with the party.

Expressing displeasure over the BJP announcing the list of its candidates for the three phase elections in the state, Janata Dal (United) President Sharad Yadav said here that the future course of action on issue of alliance with BJP would be decided by the JD (U) National Executive and Parliamentary Party during Parliament session starting from April 15.

Pointing out that JD(U)-BJP alliance in Karnataka was there since 1999 and also during 2004, he said that the BJP kept on assuring his party that poll alliance would be finalised and then later announced list of its candidates unilaterally.

''This shows the attitude of the BJP towards its partners,'' he said.

Mr Yadav also criticised the UPA government for failing to contain inflation and said that due to the wrong policies of the government the buffer stock fell despite increase in production. He said that the during the past four years the government gave way to the market forces due to which prices of food grains had increased tremendously.

Delhi High Court issues notice to CBI on arms deal

Government envisages more steps to check inflation

New Delhi, Apr 11 : Commerce and Industry Minister Kamal Nath said today that the central government would take more steps to control inflation. Los Banos, Philippines, Apr. 11 : - The International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) is calling on the international community - with particular emphasis on onors - to start focusing on solutions to what's being described as a "rice price crisis" in Asia and elsewhere.
