Mumbai, Apr 11 (UNI) Posh localities in south Mumbai today experienced a total black-out for about an hour due to power failure.
The localities that were affected due to power outage this evening included Peddar road, Carmichael road, August Kranti marg and some other areas. Some of the VVIPs have their residences situated in these localities.
The areas plunged into darkness at 2045 hrs as the transformer on Peddar road tripped, causing a major fault in power supply to these areas, according to official sources of Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) undertaking, the utility company that supplies power to South Mumbai.
The legendary singer Lata Mangeshker, one of the most VVIP living in the same locality, reportedly complained that she was not feeling well at the time when the incident took place, according to sources.
