No change in Mah CM: Shinde

Kolhapur, Apr 11 (UNI) Senior Congress leader and Union Power Minister Sushilkumar Shinde today dismissed rumours about a possible change of guard in Maharashtra.

The news reports, appearing in a section of media that party chief Sonia Gandhi is looking for replacement of incumbent chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, were nothing but rumours, Mr Shinde told reporters here.

He said such rumours had earlier been spread many times also.

On reports that a three-member committee had been appointed to look into political developments in the state, Mr Shinde, who has tipped to replace Mr Deshmukh, replied that this was also a rumour and no such committee had been set up.

Replying to another poser, he said he would accept any order from the Congress high command.
