Future Group signes Dhoni as brand ambassodor of Big Bazaar

Mumbai, Apr 11 (UNI) India's newest Test captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been signed on by the country's leading retailer Future Group as the brand ambassador of Big Bazaar, the flagship hypermarket retail chain of of the group, for its extensive collection of fashion apparel.

The group has recently introduced a whole new range of fashion apparel inspired by the seasons' colours and textures. It will feature Dhoni in a series of advertisements across all mass media, to be released shortly, the group said in a release here today.

Dhoni, who today became the Test captain of the Indian team after being the captain of the one-day team for the past one year, was chosen because of his distinctive style statement and also because he represents the aspirations of millions of Indians.

Likewise Big Bazaar, with its mass appeal and unique value proposition, has come to embody the pulse of the country wherever it has opened outlets.

Big Bazaar CEO Rajan Malhotra said ''Fashion has always been seen to be something for the elite. We disagree. Gehlot supports Raj Governor's concern over border lands sale
