CM lays foundation stone for 'Rajiv Rahadari'

Karimnagar, Apr 11: Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy laid foundation stone for 'Rajiv Rahadari', a four-lane road works project to be taken up at a cost of Rs 1045 crore, as part of 'Prajapatham' in Karimnagar district today.

Dr Reddy also laid the foundation stone for Karimnagar Ring Road and project and unveiled the statue of former Assembly Speaker D Sripada Rao in Karimnagar.

Later, speaking after launching the 'Rajiv Arogya Sri' programme at a mega medical camp organised by the district administration, the Chief Minister said the health scheme for poor would be introduced in Medak, Nellore, Prakasam and Kadapa districts also on April 15.

So far, the scheme was being implemented in eight districts. The remaining districts would be covered under the scheme by the end of next month, he added.

Stating that poor people suffering from serious ailments like heart, kidney and brain diseases would get free medical treatment in Corporate hospitals, he said the government would also provide free medical and education facilities to all BPL families in the state.
