Bank of Rajasthan annual business increases by 27 pc

Mumbai, Apr 11 (UNI) Bank of Rajasthan (BoR), one of the growing private sector banks in India, today said its annual business has increased by 27 per cent to cross over Rs 21,000 crore for the financial year ended March 31, 2008 as against Rs 16,520 crore in the previous fiscal, as per provisional data.

According to a recent survey report released by KPMG, BoR was ranked fourth among medium sized banks. It was positioned second in the growth category and fourth in credit delivery quality in the report, the Bank said.

BoR has total 50 branches in Jaipur and 464 branches pan-India with online connectivity in various parts of the country.

One killed, twelve injured in separate accidents

Hazaribagh, Apr 11 (UNI) A child was run over and killed by a speedy bus and twelve others were injured, three of them seriously, in separate accidents here today. Police said twelve people were injured as their vehicle dashed a roadside tree in Muffassil police station area of the district. REC sees PBT at Rs 1,300cr for FY08

New Delhi, Apr 11 (UNI) Rural Electrification Corporation Ltd today said the provisional financial highlights for the year 2007-08 showed it profit before tax (PBT) increase by 29.22 per cent for to Rs 1,300 crore as against Rs 1,006 crore last year. Its loan sanctions increased 84.55 per cent to Rs 60,764 crore for FY08 as against Rs 32,925 crore a year ago. Loan disbursement increased 18.72 per cent to Rs 16,303 crore during 2007-08.....

India will continue to help Nepalese people

HP computer teachers call-off strike

Hamirpur, Apr 11 (UNI) School computer teachers in Himachal Pradesh today called-off their 43-day long strike following an agreement with the state government, which agreed to increase their wages from this financial year. Teachers who have completed three years of service will be given Rs 4,000 per month, those who have completed five years will be given Rs 5,000 and those who have completed over five years of their service will be paid Rs 5,500 per.....
