Puducherry, Apr 11: AIADMK State Secretary A Anbazhagan today brought to the notice of the house, the ongoing CBI raids here and wondered whether the Government had permitted the enquiry on senior officials.
In a special mention during zero hour, Mr Anabzhagan said a sub-registrar was yesterday arrested by the CBI on charges of accepting bribes while a CBI probe was in progress into Rs 20 crore corruption in the PWD at Yanam. He wondered why the Government was still keeping the officials against whom the CBI was conducting enquiry.
CPI member R.Viswanathan through another special mention brought to the notice of the hosue, the strike resorted to by the employees of the Vinayaga Mission Medical College, Karaikal and the efforts by the management to terminate them by inducting outsiders.
However, no reply was given to both the special mentions by the Government side.
