WR beat CR by 21 runs

Panaji, Apr 10 (UNI) The Western Railway (WR) emerged champions by defeating their rival Central Railway (CR) by 21 runs in the three-day final of the 53rd All India Railway cricket tournament at Arlem ground Margao in south Goa today.

Scores in brief: Western Railway (First inning): 178 all out in 49.3 overs.

Jacob Martin 60, Shadab Khan 41. Santosh Saxena 4 for 57, Salil Agarkar 4 for 41.

Central Railway: 210 all out in 72.3 overs.

Manish Bangera 39, Salil Agarkar 39, Rahul Jhadav 31. Akshay Girap 3 for 49, Atish Welunjkar 3 for 39.

Western Railway (Second Inning): 257 for 7 in 49.3 overs.
