Chennai, Apr 10: Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK) General Secretary Vaiko will participate in a conference on peace and reconciliation, at Oslo in Norway on April 10-11. Discussions on opportunities for peace and reconciliation would feature at the 'Peace and Reconciliation in South Asia-Challenges and Opportunities', organised jointly by the Art of Living Foundation, International Association for Human Values, Club of Budapest Worldshift Network and Women's International League, according to a MDMK release here.
The conference would be attended by European Union Parliamentarians Nirj Deva and Erica Mann, Art of Living Founder Ravishankar, Sri Lankan Minister Arumugham Thondaiman, Lankan Buddhist monks and representatives of peace organisations functioning in Norway and Switzerland. Besides Mr Vaiko, Chhattisgarh Home Minister Ramvichar Netham, Chhattisgarh Women and Child Welfare Minister Latha Uchendi and Orissa Finance Minister Prafulla Chandra Karai would be taking part in the conference from India.
