Dehra Dun, Apr 10 (UNI) State BJP Mayoral candidate Vinod Chamoli has made it clear that the party stands united in its efforts to win the seat and dismissed rumours of any kind of rift within the organisation.
Mr Chamoli, while talking to newspersons on the party's declaration of the Nigam Election Organising Committee at the BJP election headquarters at E C Road here yesterday, said the main aim of the party was to win the nagar nigam elections convincingly, especially the mayor's seat.
In a clear indication that the party was doing everything to win the local body elections, he said candidates were nominated keeping in mind the welfare of all sections of society.
He said the party was attaching great importance to the win as it would indicate the trend of the party in the minds of the people for the next Lok Sabha elections.
The party named former Uttarakhand chief minister Nityanand Swami as the election committee's coordinator while Rakesh Oberoi was appointed as President.
