Rains likely in Tamil Nadu, Jharkhand, Bihar

Pune, Apr 10 (UNI) Rains or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in south Tamil Nadu, few places in Jharkhand and Bihar.

They are also likely to occur in Jammu and Kashmir, Kerala, Nicobar, isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, west Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab, west Rajasthan, Madhya Maharashtra, Rayalaseema, north Tamil Nadu, interior Karnataka and Andaman and Lakshadweep.

Mainly dry weather will prevail in Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Marathwada, Telangana and coastal Karnataka.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar, isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and north interior Karnataka.

Mainly dry weather prevailed in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh, coastal south interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

Day temperatures were appreciably to markedly above normal in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, coastal north Rajasthan, Saurashtra, Kutch, Konkan, Goa and coastal Karnataka. They were above normal in some parts of Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and coastal Andhra Pradesh.

They were appreciably below normal in some parts of Telangana, Rayalaseema and interior Karnataka and were below normal in some parts of Gangetic West Bengal, interior Orissa, Jharkhand, south Madhya Maharashtra, Marahwada, Vidarbha and Tamil Nadu. They were normal in rest of the country.
