Mulayam fires salvo at UP CM for increasing inflation

Azamgarh, Apr 10 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh main opposition Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Mulayam Singh Yadav today lambasted chief minister Mayawati for rising inflation.

''Inflation, unemployment and exploitation of labourers, all were increasing under Ms Mayawati's regime,'' Mr Yadav said addressing an election gathering here.

The SP leader challenged Ms Mayawati to arrest him, if she had so much power.

''The CM is working with a feeling of revenge, therefore she is booking SP leaders under fake cases...she even did not spared Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader Mahendra Singh Tikait,'' Mr Yadav alleged.

She has not only halted various development schemes, but also led to an increase in unemployment by expelling 18,000 policemen, he maintained.

The SP would reinstate them, as soon as it came to power, he promised.
