Kyndiah and Oraon to arrive in J'khand tomorrow

Ranchi, Apr 10 (UNI) Union Minister (In-charge of Tribal Affairs) P R Kyndiah, along with newly inducted Minister Rameshwar Oraon, will visit here tomorrow.

The Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee (JPCC) would organise a function to felicitate both Ministers at the party office here.

Mr Oraon, a former IPS officer, was an MP from Loherdega in the state.

JPCC spokesman Alok Kumar Dubey said Mr Kyndiah would leave for Dumka day after tomorrow to participate in the convocation, organised by the Sidhu Kanhu Murmu University.

McGrath looking forward to playing against Tendulkar

BJP clears 136 names for Karnataka Assembly polls

New Delhi, Apr 10 (UNI) The BJP today cleared the names of 136 nominees for the three-phase elections for the 224-member Karnataka Assembly elections scheduled to be held in May renominating 44 sitting MLAs including Chief Ministerial nominee B S Yeddiyurappa from his Shikaripura constituency. Nine sitting MLAs have been denied renomination mostly because of change of constituencies under the newly delimited constituencies, BJP General Secretary Ananth Kumar told reporters after a two-and-half-hour long.....

Voting completes in Nepal, over 60 per cent turn out

Kathmandu, Apr 10 (UNI) Nearly 67 per cent of voters exercised their franchise in the historic Constituent Assembly elections in Nepal today amid sporadic incidents of violence which claimed the life of a Nepali Congress cadre. According to the preliminary information of the Election Commission, more than 60 to 67 per cent people exercised their franchise in today's election. The elections were also postponed in few constituencies. Voting has been postponed in around two dozen polling centres.....
