Islamabad, Apr 10 : An international conference would be convened in London or New York to muster support of world parliamentarians on Kashmir issue, former Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) Prime Minister Sultan Mehmood has said.

"Members European Parliament, American Congress, British House of Commons, Norwegian Parliament will attend the conference," he said.

Mehmood said that there is a need of third party mediation over Kashmir issue and European Union (EU) is in an effective position to play a role.

"We should contact influential countries including Norway in a bid to convince European Union for mediation on Kashmir issue," he added.

Mehmood also said that the efforts have been expedited to constitute lobbies in support of Kashmir issue in Britain and Belgium.

Talking about role of Norway for resolution of Kashmir issue, he said Norway enjoys close relations with both Pakistan and India and it has also played a good role for world peace.

Mehmood said that dialogue process between India and Pakistan could not be proved fruitful unless Kashmiri, who are main party to the issue, are included in the talks.

Mehmood criticized the present PoK government and demanded fresh elections.
