'Doctors want to study my body when I die': Keith Richards

Washington, Apr 10 : Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards has received numerous requests to donate his body to medical science when he dies, as the doctors want to study his immune system.

The 64-year-old rocker spent much of his youth addicted to drugs and credits his survival to a high tolerance of toxic pollutants.

"Doctors all over the world want my body when it finally goes," Contactmusic quoted Richards as saying.

He also claimed to have cured blood disease Hepatitis C by simply letting his body deal with it.

"Apparently, I do have an incredible immune system. I had Hepatitis C and cured it myself. Just by being me..." he said.

"They (doctors) want it so they can study it and figure out how to make other people much better.

"I mean, I eat everything wrong. I shove terrible things inside me," he added.
