K'taka Polls: Gowda avers violation of poll code

Hubli, Apr 10: Former Prime Minister and national J D (S) President H D Deve Gowda today alleged that despite the announcement of elections transfers of officials was going on at the behest of Congress leaders. Means polls would not be held peacefull manner.

Mr Devegowda at a mass marriage function here today said that if the transfers continue then there is a possibility that the elections would not be held in a peaceful manner. He expressed fear that no free and fair elections could be expected in the state. He said that JD (S) party would provide assistance to the people affected by floods and untimely rains in Navalgund, Naragund and Ron Taluks last month.
