Centre bent on demolishing Ram Setu: Subramanium Swamy

Jabalpur, Apr 10 (UNI) Senior Janata Party leader and former Union Minister Subramanium Swamy today said the Centre is bent upon demolishing the 'Ram Setu'.

Mr Swamy told reporters here today that sentiments of thousands of Hindus in the country was connected with the Ram Setu. The court would hear the matter on April 15. He said he would make effort to make sure that the 'Ram Setu' was not demolished.

Replying to a question, he criticised the attack on north-Indians in Mumbai and alleged that Maharashtra Navnirman Sena leader Raj Thackeray had indirect support of the Maharashtra Congress Government as the Congress wanted to break the Shiv Sena.

Describing the UPA Government as spineless government, Mr Swamy said it was working under the pressure of the US and China.

He claimed that the next government would be of nationalist parties. The Third Front can never develop if Communist parties joined it.

The Centre must shun its lax attitude towards the Tibet issue and must clarify its stand.
