Another hot day as mercury rises to 36.1 deg C

New Delhi, Apr 10 (UNI) Delhiites today experienced the sizzling heat of the Summer as the mercury today, continuing its upwards movement, rose to 36.1 degrees Celsius.

The upwards movement in the mercury since early this week, after cool weather last week, continued today with the maximum rising to 36.1 degrees Celsius.

And, with the minimum also rising to 21.6 degrees Celsius, three degrees above normal, it seemed hot Summer days are back in Delhi after a brief hiatus.

The rise in the mercury is likely to continue in the next few days with the weatherman forecasting a rise in maximum temperature to 37 degrees Celsius tomorrow.

The Met office has forecast a mainly clear sky in Delhi during the next 24 hours.

Deve Gowda alleges violation of poll code

Hubli, Apr 10 (UNI) Former Prime Minister and Janta Dal(S) President H D Deve Gowda today alleged that despite the announcement of elections in Karnataka, transfers of officials were going on at the behest of Congress leaders.
