Addressing the press here, DDS Director P V Satheesh said the DDS was the first NGO in India to secure the logo for its organic farm products, produced by women farmers at Zaheerabad mandal in Medak district. The farmers were producing Millets, Jawar and Bajra without using chemical fertilizers and irrigation facilities.

Stating that the DDS was ready to work with other NGOs to encourage organic farming in the state, he said the products would be supplied in other villages and towns which were very near from the production centre. But,'we don't want to export the products to other countries'.
