NALCO figures in Forbes 'Global 2000' list

Bhubaneswar, Apr 8: Public sector giant National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) has figured in the Forbes 'Global 2000 List'.

NALCO is one of the 48 Indian companies to find a place in the list. NALCO sources said the company ranked 32 among the Indian companies and secured the 11th position among the public sector companies. The list is led by Reliance Industries (ranked 193), followed by PSU major ONGC (198). The companies were included in the prestigious list on the basis of their respective sales, profits, assets and market capitalisation. From the eastern part of India, only Tata Steel (738) and NALCO (1478) have found place in the list, the sources said. The top ten PSUs (excluding banks) comprised of ONGC, IOC, NTPC, SAIL, BPCL, BHEL, HPCL, NMDC, GAIL and PGCIL. Among the public sector banks, SBI (219) topped the Indian list.

West Bengal tops investment plans table
