ISAI general secretary Maulana Khalid Saifullah Rehmani told reporters that the academy takes decisions in matters pertaining to disputes over issues among Muslim followers. The decision was taken in this view.

About 400 muftis and several Muslim intellectuals besides representatives from Iraq and Iran took part in the convention.

Mr Rehmani supported the view of the Madhya Pradesh government of not providing sex education.
