Suryakiran to showcase its aerobatic skill in China

Vadodara, Apr 7 (UNI) The Suryakiran Formation Aerobatic Team (SFAT) of the Indian Air Force is likely to showcase its stunning aerobatic skills in China.

Suryakiran, one of the three renowned 9-aircraft formation aerobatic teams of the world, has received an invitation from the Chinese authorities to perform in their country.

This was disclosed by Wing Commander Joy Thomas Kurien, Commanding Officer of the team, at a press conference after a thrilling air show at the Harni Air Force station here today.

The team, which has performed more than 650 air shows in major cities of the country since its formation in 1996, has also flown the Indian tricolour over the skies of Myanmar, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia, demonstrating its flying skill.

Speaking on the occasion, Commander-in-chief of the South Western Air Command N V Tyagi said the air shows were aimed at showcasing the IAF and motivating the adventure loving youths of the country to join the Indian Air Force for a bright and promising career.

Govt recommends State EC to conduct Panchayat poll from May 11
