Raghunath Jha takes over as MOS Heavy Ind

New Delhi, Apr 7 (UNI) Mr Raghunath Jha today took over as Minister of State for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises.

He replaces Mrs Kanti Singh, who has been given the charge of Minister of State in the Ministry of Tourism and Culture.

After assuming office, Mr Jha interacted with the senior officials of the Ministry and reviewed some of the important schemes of the Department.

Metals, energy and agro-commodities gain

Mumbai, Apr 7 (UNI) The composite index of metals, energy and agro-commodities gained 2703.56 points at the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) today. MCX Energy gained 1.07 pc at 3214.49 points. Bullion contracts showed a weak tendency overall. Gold July 08 contract shrank by 0.29 pc at Rs 11,835 per 10 grams. Silver July 08 contract was up by 0.44 pc at Rs 23,488 per kg.
