Precious metals rise: Bombay Bullion Association

Mumbai, Apr 7: Both the precious metals rose today as silver edged up by Rs 100 per kg and gold by Rs 15 per ten gm on fresh buying support along with strong global trend, in the opening session of trading here, Bombay Bullion Association sources said. In domestic as well as in international market precious metals advanced because of the increase in oil prices.

Gold rose to USD 912.90/913.70 an ounce from USD 908.40/909.20 an ounce on Friday, silver edged up to USD 17.82/17.87 an ounce from USD 17.77/17.82 an ounce, Singapore market report said. Following were the opening rates of spot silver and gold in the Bombay bullion market today: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade : Rs 23,765 Gold (per 10 gm) 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 11,845 99.9 purity pure gold : Rs 11,900.

Precious metals recover on better buying support
