One killed, another injured in Kashmir valley

Srinagar, Apr 7: One person was killed and another injured in the Kashmir valley overnight, official sourcs said today.

They said a vehicle hit and critically wounded a boy, Abdul Rashid at Peerbagh on Srinagar-Airport road.

He was rushed to Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) where he was declared brought dead.

A motorcyclist was injured when a vehicle hit him at Doonipora on Srinagar-Baramulla highway.

He was admitted to hospital, they said.

China, New Zealand sign free trade pact

Beijing, Apr 7: China and New Zealand signed a free-trade agreement with each other here on Monday. A Chinese foreign ministry official said this is the first time that such a pact is being signed between a developed country and a developing Asian country.
