No trust motion passed against Kaithal MC chief

Kaithal, Apr 7 (UNI) Chairperson local municipal council Sunita Bansal, already under suspension, was removed from her post today following the passage of a non confidence motion against her by three fourth majority.

As many as 24 elected members out of 31 and local MLA S S Surjewala voted in favour of the non confidence motion against the MC chief.

Ramesh Verma, ADC, presiding officer that report in this connection will be sent to the Director local bodies.

Ms Bansal and her supporters were not present during passing of the non confidence motion .

Sunita Bansal was suspended by the Director local Bodies Haryana last month after the DC Kaithal submitted a report that she was involved in commiting irregularities.

Stage set for Indo-German Naval exercises

Kochi, Apr 7 (UNI) The stage is set for a three-day Indo-German Naval exercise in the Arabian Sea, off the Southern and Western Coasts of India, starting tomorrow. No restriction on production of ethanol in sugar mills: Minister

Patna, Apr 7(UNI) Minister of State for Sugarcane Nitish Mishra today said the Centre had clarified that there was no restriction on production of ethanol in existing sugar mills in Bihar. Talking to newpersons, Mr Mishra said here that Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar had written a letter informing the Bihar government that there was no restriction on production of ethanol in the existing sugar mills. Eight injured in bomb explosions in Nepal

Kathmandu, Apr 7 (uni) At least eight people were injured in explosions in three places across the country where the Nepali Congress was due to hold electoral assemblies this afternoon. Five people were injured when a bomb went off at Ghantaghar in Birgunj when NC rally was underway and the condition of two of them was reported to be critical, Kantipur said, quoting its local reporter.
