Mumbai Football Club defeats Oil India Assam, 3-2

Kolhapur, Apr 7 (UNI) Mumbai Football Club defeated Oil India, Assam, 3-2 and registered their fourth win in the ongoing ONGC 2nd division National League Football tournament, played at Chhatrapati Shahu Stadium here today.

Mumbai's Sanjay Parte registered the first goal for his team in the 16th minute, while Oil India's Maduako Francis with fine play hit the ball into rival's net, for 1-1 in the first half.

In the second half, Mumbai's Alex Ambrose hit the second goal for his team to take 2-1 lead in the 28th minute, but two minutes later Oil India's Aaron Colej registered another goal for his team and equalled the score 2-2.

Both the sides played defensive game, in which Oil India's Dhananjoy Bore self-goaled which went in favour of Mumbai Football Club to win the match 3-2.

Mumbai Football Club leads the tournament with 12 points from the four matches it played so far.
