Loot gang busted, kingpin among 2 held

Ghazipur, Apr 7: Two criminals, including the kingpin of an inter-district loot gang, were arrested and booty worth Rs several thousand were seized from their possession in Dulehpur area here.

The duo, including syndicate head Ramji alias Ramjeet and Bahadur Gaur, were nailed down last night, police said today.

Booty, comprising Rs 50,000 cash and jewellery, were seized from them, the police added.

The gang was active in Ghazipur, Mau, Chandauli and Azamgarh districts and the arrested were accused in altogether 22 cases.
