Kidwai stresses on qualitative education

Chandigarh, Apr 7 (UNI) Haryana Governor A R Kidwai today called upon the educational institutions to impart qualitative education to the students so that skilled and efficient engineers, doctors, teachers, researchers and scientists could be produced in a big way to face the challenges in the modern age of globalisation.

Dr Kidwai was addressing the students at Faridabad after inaugurating a hostel constructed by Delhi Public School Society.

The Governor said that in the age of globalisation India had carved out a niche in the world as a fast developing nation.

He said that 65 per cent softwares of the world demand were exported from India. He also pointed out the fast progress of the country made in the fields of medicines, pharmaceuticals and bio-technologies.

Two soil testing labs to be set up in Samastipur

Samastipur, Apr 7 (UNI) Two soil sample test labs will be set up in Samastipur district of North Bihar at the cost of Rs 37 lakhs to promote agriculture in the area. Centre declares two Tripura villages Bird Flu-affected

Agartala, April 7 (UNI) The Ministry of Health has declared two villages - Mohanpur and Malaya along Tripura-Bangladesh border in Kamalpur division of north Tripura as bird flu-affected.
