DHD-J ultra killed, HNLC arrested by BSF in Mizoram

Shillong, Apr 07 (UNI) Border Security Force(BSF) has gunned down a Dima Halam Daogah(Jewel)[DHD(J)] militant in Assam and arrested a Hynniewtrep National Liberation Council (HNLC) ultra in Mizoram.

In a statement issued here today, the BSF said that an unidentified DHD (J) militant was killed in an encounter with BSF troops at Thajury area in North Cachar Hills District of Assam.

The BSF personnel had seized a 7.62 Self Loading Rifle with 82 rounds of live ammunition, a mobile phone and Rs 1005 from the slain militant's possession.

In another incident, a hardcore HNLC cadre Ossomon Rynjah alias Belu was arrested by the BSF in Mizoram, after he sneaked into India from Bangladesh.

Incidentally, the HNLC cadre told the BSF interrogators that he stole 135 Bangladesh Taka from the camp commander in Bangladesh and deserted the camp to join the national mainstream.

India, S Africa teams to arrive in Kanpur tomorrow

Kanpur, Mar 7 (UNI) India and visiting South Africa cricket teams will arrive here tomorrow evening for the third and final cricket test match at Green Park stadium scheduled from April 11. ''There is slight change in the teams arrival time now, they will land at Lucknow airport around 1430 hrs, instead 1630 hrs and then leave for Kanpur by road,'' Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) manager administration Prem Dhar Pathak told UNI today......
