Indian Air Force air show enthrals Vadodara audience

Vadodara (Gujarat), Apr 7 : The Aerobatics team of the Indian Air Force demonstrated breathtaking air stunts at Vadodara in Gujarat on Monday.

Zooming up nine aircraft of the Indian Air Force thrilled the citizens of Vadodra.

Surya Kiran, the successor of 'The Thunderbolts' was formed in 1996 as the ambassadors of the Indian Air Force, aiming to exhibit the professionalism, calibre and mettle of the defence forces.

The crowd was mesmerised to watch the team manoeuvring the aircrafts to heights and making different patterns weaving colourful patterns in the sky.

"Surya Kiran team's performance was spellbinding and we thoroughly enjoyed the performance. This time they have introduced skydiving in their show," said Apoorva Vyas, a viewer.

The Indian Air Force is organising such shows across the country to familiarise the public with the activities of the force.

The officers displayed brilliant pyrotechnics with their aircraft touching the sky at a whopping speed of 200 to 600 kmph at a height band of 30 to1500eters.

The show is primarily aimed at drawing the youth to join the armed forces and to create awareness amongst the public.

Another highlight of the show was parachuting performed by the Sky Diving Display team.
