Hyderabad, Apr 6: Andhra Pradesh Assembly Deputy Speaker G Kutuhalamma today charged Opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President and Former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu with insulting her by making 'objectionable remarks' in the House on April 2.

Addressing the press here, Ms Kutuhalamma said ''I was deeply hurt with the statements made by the TDP leader in the House when the discussion was proceeding on 'No confidencee motion' moved by the TDP. It was an insult to me as a woman from Dalit Community.'' Alleging Mr Naidu lost patience and was in depression since the TDP lost power in the State in the 2004 elections, she said the TDP leader did not respect her when she was on the Chair during the Assembly Session calling her in 'singular.' Accusing the TDP leader of instigating his MLAs by obstructing the proceedings when she was in the Chair, the Deputy Speaker said ''this itself shows the TDP's stand on women and Dalits in the State.

''I do not need the power and post which does not recognise me as a respected woman,'' Ms Kutuhalamma said alleging Mr Naidu conspired to remove her from Chittoor District Zilla Parished President's post in the early 1980's when she was in the TDP.
