Mother Dairy eyes Rs 2,750 cr turnover in '08

New Delhi, Apr 6: Country's second largest dairy company Mother Diary has said it expects to grow by 25 per cent to touch about 2,750 crore turnover by this fiscal-end.

''We expect to grow at 23-25 per cent as we have been doing over the last four years closing in at Rs 2,700-2,750 crore,'' Mother Dairy CEO Paul Thachil said.The cooperative has also expanded its probiotic range, b-Active, a segment that contributes 15-20 per cent of the total revenues."'We are launching the probiotic drink, Nutrifit, in the NCR. It will be priced at Rs 10 for 100-ml bottle,'' he added. The cooperative already has curd and lassi in the probiotic range and will be launching the lassi in Mumbai as well.

The product will be manufactured in the facility at Pilkhuwa which has a production capacity of five million bottles a month.

Nutrifit will be available at 1,000 Mother Dairy booths, as well as 3,000 retail outlets.

Montek favours hike in oil prices, economy to grow by 8.5%
