Mild force used to disperse protesting teachers

Jalandhar, Apr 6 (UNI) Police today used mild lathi-charge to disperse the protesting computer teachers here today.

The temporary computer teachers were protesting in support of their demand of regularisation of their services.

Police used the mild force to disperse the teachers, when they had gharoed the Local Bodies Minister Manoranjan Kalia outside the Yadgaar Hall in the city.

The agitated teachers also staged dharna against the lathi-charge outside the Yadgaar Hall and near the residence of the Minister.

Later, the Minister invited a five-member committee of the protesting teacher to his house and gave them insurance that within 15 days he would take up thier case with the Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal.
