Ujjain, MP, Apr 6 (UNI) Slamming the Centre for steep price rise of basic commodities, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha L K Advani said it would have to pay the price for rising inflation.
Mr Advani, who was here to take part in the Vikramotsav programme organised here by the Ujjain Development Authority and the Madhya Pradesh Culture Department, made the statement while talking to reporters at the airport here.
''The biggest challenge before the country today is inflation.
The Centre should pay special attention to basic necessities of food, clothing and shelter of people but it had failed on all fronts,'' he said.
Mr Advani said constructing a house has become a dream for people because of rise in price of raw materials like cement. The Centre has failed to control their prices.
The BJP leader said the UPA Government would have to pay price for ignoring the needs of people.
