Advani offers prayers at Mahakaleshwar temple

Ujjain, MP, Apr 6 (UNI) Senior BJP leader L K Advani paid obeisance at the world famous Mahakaleshwar temple in this temple town this evening.

Mr Advani arrived here via a special aircraft at 1730 hrs to take part in 'Nav Samvat' programme on the eve of 'Gudi Parva' as part of Vikramotsav at the start of Vikram Samvat 2065.

After taking a brief rest at circuit house, Mr Advani reached Mahakaleshwar temple and affered prayers. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and MP and former Union Minister Satyanarayan Jatia were present on the occasion.

Mr Advani also attended the Chakravarti Raja Vikramaditya Mahanatya programme here.

Bijapur (Karnataka), July 27: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad today said it will launch a nationwide protest between August 26 and October 15 under the Sri Rameswaram Ramsetu protection movement opposing the move to destroy the 'ramsetu' between India and Sri lanka. Talking to newsmen here Dr Praveen Togadia, International Secretary Vishwa Hindu Parishad said the Ramsetu should be protected by enlisting it in historical monument. SC to hear Centre's quota petition on July 31

New Delhi, July 26: The Supreme Court will hear on July 31 the application of the Centre seeking a vacation of the stay against the implemantation of the 27 per cent quota to OBCs in Centrally-run educational institutions of higher studies. A bench comprising Chief Justice K G Balakrishnan, Justices R V Raveendran and Dalveer Bhandari fixed the date of the Centre's application during the hearing of petition of challenging the government notification issued on.....
