Three chain snatchers held, gold recovered

Hyderabad, Mar 15 (UNI) A Central Crime Station (CCS) team today apprehended three notorious chain snatchers from West Bengal and recovered 66 grams of gold, two two-wheelers and two daggers from them.

Police said the anti-dacoity and robbery team arrested Abdul Kareem, Abdul Aleem Khan and Kishan Dowari, who confessed that they used to steal vehicles and snatch gold ornaments by diverting the attention of women.

In another case, the Chadrayanagutta police arrested one Ali Khan, who was riding a motor cycle with a knife without any valid licence.

The accused, a realtor, claimed that he kept it for self-defence as he had cash transactions with many people.

The knife, two cell phones and a two-wheeler were recovered from his possession.
