Security beefs up at Indo-Nepal border

India/Nepal, Mar 9: Security has been beefed up at Indo-Nepal border in view of upcoming election in Nepal. Election is scheduled on April 10 and an elaborate security cover has been initiated at the borders to prevent infiltration of Maoist and any other untoward incident at the districts adjoining the border.

According to official sources here, Shashastra Sena Bal (SSB), PAC and intelligence force at the borders have been instructed to maintain strict vigil over the illegal intrusion. Besides, extra force and other facilities at the police stations at the districts adjoining the Indo-Nepal border have also been provided.

Kidney racket kingpin brought to Kathmandu

Kathmandu, Feb 8: Dr Amit Kumar, the arrested kingpin of the recently unearthed kidney racket, was brought here early this morning by a special team of the city police. He is presently at Hanumandhoka police station and is being interrogated by the Nepal police. It was not clear whether Dr Kumar will be charged for crimes in Nepal or will be handed over to Indian police, the Himalyan Times reported. Dr Kumar was nabbed at 1700 hrs (local time) last evening.....
