'www.worldcolleges.info' to launch online quiz for students

Chennai, Feb 21 (UNI) Tamil Nadu's leading educational web portal 'www.worldcolleges.info' will launch an online quiz programme for developing the career of students of engineering and science and arts colleges in the State tomorrow.

It would be a State Level Annual Talent E-fest (SLATE) for the students of 1,400 engineering and science and arts colleges in the State.

About five lakh students are expected to participate in the four round competition, which would cover five topics - maths, logical reasoning, language skills, judgements and visual spatial.

''It will test the brainy skills of the students as the question paper will be in the form of objective type with four options'', according to www.worldcolleges.info CEO A Ilankumaran.

In a statement here, he said the first round competition would go on for five days and would be followed by the next three rounds.

The second round would be on online academic subject, comprising questions from the students' academic streams from engineering, diploma and BE and any science and arts subjects.

The third round would be E-paper presentation and the fourth would be the final round comprising a group discussion and mock interview to be coducted by top executies in the IT industry.

It would culminate with a State level convention where top three winners would be awarded prizes to the tune of Rs two lakh.

''If we get more sponsors, the quantum of prize money would be increased substantially,'' he added.
