Rel, HDFC to launch India's first virtual credit card

New Delhi, Feb 21, 2008 : According to sources, Reliance Communications and HDFC Bank have entered a tie up to offer virtual mobile credit cards in the country. Under the scheme, a Reliance mobile phone will get credit card functionality and the mobile number will act as the credit card number.

Being the first of its kind credit card service in India, it is being speculated that over the next few months, many other mobile companies might also follow suit.

RCom launches international voice card

Mumbai, July 23: Private telecom major Reliance Communications today launched the passport outroamer calling cards a voice product catering to the communications requirments of Indian tourists and travellers going abroad. The new product is targetted at Indians travelling abroad to make calls to any international destination from any mobile or telephone.
