Shiv Sena MP Prakash Pranjape passes away

Thane (Maharashtra), Feb 21: Senior Shiv Sena leader and Member of Parliament Prakash Pranjape died here last night after a prolonged illness.

He was 61 and survived by wife and two sons. Pranjape, a senior leader of Shiv Sena was suffering from cancer. he had won from Thane parliamentary constituency for the fourth term in the last elections.

Mumbai, Feb 1: Polling for the ten Municipal Corporations in Maharashtra, including the prestigious Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, started today at 0730 hrs amid tight security arrangements.The ten Corporations going to polls are Mumbai, Thane, Nasik, Ulhasnagar, Nagpur, Akola, Amravati, Solapur, Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad.Polling got under way at 13616 polling booths for the 1162 wards.
