Lt Gen Sapru, Air Marshal Barbora hold meeting

Chandigarh, Feb 21 (UNI) Lt Gen T K Sapru, GOC-in-C, Western Command, and Air Marshal P K Barbora, AOC-in-C, Western Air Command, today held discussions for undertaking synergized joint operations between the Army and the Air Force as applicable for a theatre battle.

The two had a meeting at the Western Command Headquarters at Chandimandir, near here today.

They, however, expressed satisfaction at the arrangements already in place to achieve the desired results during operations.

Chandigarh, Feb 21 (UNI) One of the key witnesses in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots in Delhi, Surinder Singh, today recorded his statement at the CBI office here. The CBI team led by DSP SS Kishore from Delhi, recorded his statement. The former union minister Jagdish Tytler is facing a CBI probe in an anti-Sikh riot case. 14 lakh megatonne sugar production expected in 2008 in Guj

Gandhinagar, Feb 21 (UNI) Sugar production in Gujarat is expected to come down to 14 lakh megatonne in 2008 as compared to 14.21 lakh megatonne last year.
