Movement chairman R K Ramherliana said a succession of 'failed' governments in the state has given birth to a youth movement to 'rescue Mizoram from its illnesses.' '' Free and fair election is the foundation of democracy. We declare that we are willing to participate and strive to achieve the same,'' he said while reading out the YMM's Declaration here.

This congress of youths commits itself to bring about good governance and motivate fellow youth members to come forward for the cause, he said.

'' Governments come and go, but each of them has failed to address the interest of the people, particularly the farmers,'' he stated.
