Debt-ridden farmer commits suicide in MP

Chhatarpur, MP, Feb 21 (UNI) A 32-year-old debt-ridden farmer has committed suicide at this district's Sunahara village, police said today.

Keshari (32) hanged himself to death on his village's tree yesterday. Villagers said the victim owed huge debts to moneylenders.

Coincidentally, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister announced a relief of Rs 5,600 crore to state farmers in Kisan Mahapanchayat in the state capital yesterday.

Jammu, Feb 21: A civilian was shot at by unidentified militants in Tehsil Mendhar of Poonch district last evening, official sources said here today. Nagpur, Feb 21 (UNI) Mahatma Gandhi International Hindi University (MGIHU) will shortly open a Buddhist Literature Study Centre at its campus in Wardha in Vidarbha region of Maharashtra.
