Big 92.7 FM launched its second station in Orissa

Rourkela, Feb 21 (UNI) Big 92.7, India's number one FM station, today launched its station here, the second in Orissa.

The first station was launched in Bhubaneswar earlier.

Briefing newspersons here, company Regional Marketing Manager (East), Kolkotta, Ramita Chowdhury said this was the 44th station in the country and the next station would be launched in Allahabad soon.

Ms Chowdhury said the company had already obtained license to operate 54 stations and planned an investment of Rs 400 crore in transmission equipment and infrastructure development.

She said the biggest private FM radio station network is poised to reach 200 million Indians across 45 cities, 1000 towns and 50,000 villages.

Ms Chowdhury said the station would also serve as an effective platform for large corporate as well as local retailers.

Deshmukh condoles Paranjpe's demise

One dead, eight injured in clashes over water

Kolhapur, Feb 21 (UNI) One person was killed and eight others injured in clashes between two groups over an irrigation pipe-line water scheme at Arale village in Karvir Tehsil of the district today. The two groups, one led by Bharat Bhausaheb Patil and the other by Shahaji Hindurao Patil had a dispute over the pipe-line water scheme for the past few years, police said. BJP holds rally seeking tabling of women reservation bill in Parliament
